Summary

POSITION SUMMARY: 
The Warranty Technician responds to documented lists from the Warranty Manager and Warranty 
Coordinator.  The Warranty Technician is responsible for ordering and gathering of materials, tools and supplies 
to remedy documented items in a timely manner. Remedies performed by the Warranty Technician must be of 
good workmanship and to the standards of Kolter Homes and standard building practices.   

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

• Respond to warranty requests on closed homes, model homes, inventory homes and homes as required 
under construction from time to time   
• Obtain Purchaser signature of approval and release on completed work order tasks 
• Maintain adequate supply of most commonly used materials for repairs 
• Maintain professional appearance and positive, friendly attitude under all circumstances as a representative 
of Kolter Homes  

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: 
• No supervisory responsibilities are required for this position 

 

REQUIRED JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: 
• Read and interpret construction documents and other related work documents. 
• Effectively and professionally communicate (in oral and written form) with internal and external 
Purchasers.   
• Manage multiple priorities in a timely and professional manner with strong attention to detail with limited 
supervision.   
• Demonstrate commitment to integrity, company values, customer-focus, and established policies and 
procedures.   
• Display professional appearance and manner. 
• Maintain acceptable MVR and valid driver’s license. 
• Experience working in wood trim, drywall installation and repair, interior and exterior paint 
application, cabinetry installation and appliance hookup is a plus   
• Knowledge of items covered under Kolter Homes warranty program. 

 

 EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: 
• High School degree or above is preferred

• Ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus)  

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT  
• This position occasionally works in an environment with a loud noise level. (Examples: jack hammer work, 
front row at a rock concert.) 
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet or humid conditions. 
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts. 
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works in high precarious places.
